Oncology Clinical Research Assistant

1. Job Description:

• Seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated student interested in veterinary medicine and clinical research
• Opportunity to gain additional skills and experience in the field of veterinary oncology
• May work up to 20 hours/week; hours flexible

2. Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assisting veterinary clinicians with oncology clinical research studies
• Review patient medical records for potential inclusion into research studies
• Use of Microsoft Excel for data entry, management, and basic analysis
• Obtain patient follow-up from pet owners

3. Required Skills:

• Previous experience in a small animal veterinary medical setting
• Excellent communication skills and personal accountability
• Strong organizational ability and attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Willingness to help and be part of a team

4. Preferred Skills:

• Previous research experience, oncologic research preferred
