Ablah Library - Graduate Assistant for Library Technologies

Wichita State University Library Technologies department is looking for current graduate students who will work as a team with other Library Technologies staff, graduates and student assistants. They will be responsible providing technology support to Library Staff and patrons. They will be working on development projects and other tasks assigned by the director of library technologies.  

Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities

  1. Working knowledge of graphics & web design
  2. Working knowledge of network, desktop support, etc.
  3. Experience in following programming languages is preferred.
  • C, C++, JAVA, .NET, Python, R
  • HTML, CSS
  1. Experience with providing troubleshooting for Computers, Printers, Scanners and other related devices.
  2. Proficient in Networking concepts.
  3. Knowledge and experience with Windows and Apple Operating Systems.
  4. Demonstrated familiarity with APIs and widgets
  5. Good Written and Verbal communication skills
  6. Must be able to lift at least 25-30 lbs.
