(GRA/SA) Research Assistant: NIAR UAV Lab
Students working in the NIAR UAV Lab (part of the Emerging Technologies and CAD/CAM Series of Labs) will learn to utilize multi-disciplinary approaches to next-gen manufacturing and disruptive technologies. Students will be challenged to research and apply new concepts, materials and methodologies to optimize, automate, and create new material systems, new processes and road-map the future of emerging technologies.
Graduate and Undergraduate Students will support existing research staff on commercial and DoD projects.
Position will be located at National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT) located at 4004 N Webb.
Starting wage of $10/hr-$15/hr depending on experience and qualification. Position to be filled immediately.

Requirements:
- Graduate or Undergraduate AEROSPACE or MECHANICAL ENGINEERING students.
- Proven Experience with engineering report writing submitted with application
- Proven Experience with Design of Experiments on projects/research programs submitted with application
- CATIA experience is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and bill of material systems.
- Attention to detail
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25lbs
- Ability to work with complex systems
- Ability to work with hand tools and power tools for construction purposes
- Personal Transportation required
- Job hours: M-F between 7:30 am - 6 pm
