Crop Harvesting Field Test Engineer Intern

This position will provide validation support guidance for the North America Validation team supporting the Harvesting platform for combines and headers in Mt Joy, Iowa. This includes projects such as benchmarking support, assistance to field test engineers for testing/operating machines, setting up onsite test rigs, and prepping equipment for the field.  Interns will develop their communication skills through interaction with multiple product design groups and technical reporting.  They will learn the culture of a large organization and how to be an effective member of a team.  They will see the full development process from concept to implementation with the end customer.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate machine performance, diagnose component and system malfunctions, isolate problems and recommend improvements in the development of combine harvesting equipment and their associated equipment.
• Support field test engineers to understand performance of equipment.

 This position will pay between $19.00 - $35.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related degree area.
• Capable of traveling to US and Canada test locations for extended periods of time.
