The Advanced Purchasing Intern will support our Global Team of Advanced Purchasing Specialists during the design and development phase of new and innovative products. Our Advanced Purchasing Specialists are project managers responsible for cross functional communication of Current Product Management and New Product Launches working with Engineering and Manufacturing colleagues all around the world.
 

 

This position is eligible for a hybrid work model and is located in Burr Ridge/Oak Brook, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Support Product Development with Supplier identification, negotiation, quote and expediting.
  • Identification and implementation of cost reduction opportunities.
  • Benchmarking activities (competitor vehicles and components. Identification of emerging supplier technologies
  • Support the launch of new machines.
  • Special Projects to supplier Advanced Purchasing NA & Global team.
     

This position will pay between $19-$35.50/hour.

Qualifications

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other related degree areas.
