Communications Student Assistant

We are seeking a self-driven, detail-oriented communicator to assist with graphic design, website management, event planning, social media and various other communication/marketing related tasks.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop promotional materials such as media graphics, flyers, banners, signage
  • Take photos of university events, people, building, equipment
  • Social media management
  • Assist in planning and execution of special events
  • Update website and develop graphic elements
  • Develop content for and coordinate publication of e-mail publications
  • Create, edit and update PowerPoint presentations
  • Assist with laboratory tours
  • Other duties as assigned
Required skills:
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage workflow based on expectations
  • Ability to work independently and along with other colleagues
